World Microbiome Day

The significance of microbes and their influence on our lives are celebrated on World Microbiome Day.  It’s a day set aside to promote research into the potential advantages of microbiome and to increase awareness of the part they play in our environment.   By examining the microbiome, researchers hope to learn more about how these organisms communicate with one another and with their surroundings.  This information might result in better agriculture practices, more effective disease treatments, and more environmentally sound public policies.   -  Jagdish Patel.   Soil Health Scientist.
